Founded on August 4, 2018, Zeta Epsilon Chapter is the second chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., in Broward County. The idea of chartering a local  Pembroke Pines, Florida chapter began with the vision of three zealous sorors. These exuberant women were led by Sonjia Reese who had the initial idea of forming a chapter.

The aspiring local group worked for approximately two months, finding enough members to charter and completing other requirements to become a chapter. Their unwavering efforts and dedication made the dream of Zeta Epsilon Chapter, Pembroke Pines, Florida a reality on August 4, 2018. The Emerald Goddesses charter members are Jeri Clinch, Angela Jones, Dezonia Keyes, Angela Mitchell, Sonjia Reese, Teria Brown-Robinson, and Sarah Thomas.
